Majorca…Mallorca…Anyway. The location of the island being right in the middle of the Mediterranean has meant it has been a prime spot for attacks from foreign colonies trying to claim the land from the Spanish. Of course, since the world got a little more peaceful, it has mainly relied on tourism as a key area of business. It isn’t just the beaches however, with many hikers and trekkers seeking the World UNESCO Heritage site Serra de Tramuntana. While we have listed the usual activities and attractions, one of the less known is the cycling tourism they receive each year, consisting of tens of thousands of visitors. There are a number of courses and areas setup for the perfect bike routes through the mountain range. Some of the big names that try this out include the legendary Bradley Wiggins. Of course, Majorca has regularly been a home to the stars, all the way back to Elizabeth Taylor and Audrey Hepburn.
