I planned on posting this in December, but time always slips by, hello January! I decided to skip the New Year’s Resolutions, as outside the travelling world, I’ve become the Head of Marketing for a fintech firm, which requires a huge amount of mental focus, therefore I will be taking on slightly less adventures, limited to weekends and the occasional holiday and press trip rather than any big excursions. But read on if you’re curious what this blog and social channels will be showing over the next 12 months.
Honeymoon In Switzerland
We got married in July and as much as we would have then loved to have jumped on a plane, we were only just back from a number of trips (stag do in Lisbon, group trip to Mykonos, press trip to Italy and Spain, a wedding in Croatia and were discussing a trip to Alderney for the following month) therefore we wanted to take a step back and properly plan something out for 2026.
We contemplated somewhere far away like Vietnam, then we swayed towards Iceland, before eventually ending up on the beautiful hillsides of Switzerland. I think being able to drive to every town was a big winner for Raquel, albeit we might think differently when cruising along the hillside with steep edges!
Switzerland looks absolutely beautiful. The real question is whether we’ll completely switch off from blogging and truly treat it like a honeymoon, or if our blogger mindset kicks in and we take 1000’s of videos.
Trip To Dorking
Considering we have two dogs, we want to arrange a few more trips around the UK to dog friendly hotels, while we’ve already agreed with one in Dorking on a visit for the summer time.
We also both learned to drive last year, so we want to take on the roads and try some activities we couldn’t before, such as visit areas that don’t have a train station, we want to visit Longleat and enjoy a flutter at some top UK slot sites or maybe a game of poker as I haven’t played since the University days.
We only just went away with the dogs to Winchester in December which was really nice, but it does stop you from truly seeing the area as you can’t go in anywhere with them, nor leave them in the room or visit most restaurants, so it’s a lot more hard work than a traditional holiday. This is why we’re also tempted by the Peak District, so we can walk around in the great outdoors and allow them to run around freely.
Cruise in Croatia
We have arranged a press trip to Croatia along a boat ride, which will apparently be with a selection of other bloggers. This sounds absolutely brilliant, a chance to tick off several different areas of Croatia and to meet some new people.

We were only just in Croatia last summer, but we only got to visit Rijeka and one other inland area, as we visited for a wedding, while we spent the whole time hanging out with friends rather than being tourists, so it still feels very ‘untouched’ for us.
Plus, my friend Matt visits every summer and swears by its beauty, so I feel incredibly excited to visit truly as a tourist and to swim in the water each day.
