Memphis

Then I’m walking in Memphis, walking with my feet 10 feet off of Beale… Anyway, Memphis is legendary for its musical background being the home of the blues, as well as the birthplace of rock and roll. But it doesn’t stop there, it is also believed jazz, R&B, rap, soul and gospel started here. The king himself lived in Memphis, something you will have shoved down your throat. I mean, Elvis is alright, but they act like he’s the messiah, but he’s not the messiah, he’s a very naughty boy. Anyway, off my random quotes, Memphis is quoted in more than 400 songs that made the billboards, OK I couldn’t quite get off music, but how can you when you’re here. You should also wander along to 706 Union Avenue to see Sun Studio’s, where rock and roll is credited with birthing rock and roll. The entire area is very much reliant on the tourism industry, with more than 11 million people visiting each year. You should also sit down in as many restaurants as possible, to embrace the Southern culture and culinary dishes that are deep rooted in their history. Also, you know that lion that roars at the start of the movies made by MGM, that lion lived at the Memphis zoo up until the day it died in 1944.
